Physiotherapy in Oncology and Palliative Care

End-of-life care, also known as Palliative care is defined by the WHO as “multidisciplinary and holistic assessment and management of physical, psychosocial and spiritual symptoms, with the goal of alleviating suffering. The American Cancer Society follows that idea by defining palliative care as “care for adults and children with serious illness that focuses on relieving suffering and improving quality of life for patients and their families, but is not intended to cure the disease itself.”
