Women Health Physiotherapy

Women's experience of health and disease differ from those of men, due to unique biological, social and behavioural conditions. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirm. A number of health and medical research advocates, such as the Society for Women's Health Research in the United States, support this broader definition, rather than merely issues specific to human female anatomy to include areas where biological sex differences between women and men exist.
